that never fails to keep me warm

Starlight reflected on the water
bright and cold beneath the autumn sky
I hear a rumbling in the distance
So I open up my eyes

When the wind blows I am reminded
Of a quiet calm before the storm
Then the rain falls and I am severed
From the tethers that hold me down
